The Team

Behind every successful event rider is a hard working team of professionals with a wide range of skills and experience, everyone playing their part to ensure that the horses are kept in the best possible condition.

Emma Pearson – Head Girl
Emma has worked in eventing for over 6 years and has spent the last 3 seasons with JP. She is very experienced especially at international competitions and three day events, and has incredibly high standards.

Paul Whitehead - 2nd Rider
Former Junior Team member Paul joins JP regularly to help with some of the riding, bringing with him his own horses for training.  He is aiming for the Under 25's Championships at Bramham CCI*** with Jump the Q II, following his clear there last year, and Houghton Hall CCI** with Strathmore High Spirits, with whom he won the U18 Championships at Chepstow 2005.

Claire Bennett
Claire joined the team for a year as a competition student before going off to uni in September 2007 to read psychology. She worked on the yard and received lots of training and opportunities on her horse Garrendon Ollie, with whom she completed Weston Park CCI* last year.  Claire writes an online diary for Eventing Worldwide - "All Work and No Play? The Diary of a Working Pupil"

Sally Williams
Sally was based on the yard with her horse About Thyme before going off to study Physiotherapy at Nottingham University. She often comes back for training and to keep JP up to date with paper work, emails and entries.

Brooke Cleave (Pixie)
Pixie is currently studying for her A Levels at Malvern College, leaving JP to produce her horse Westwinds Bravados (Benji) during the term time. In the holidays and any spare weekends she is at the yard training and competing. Pixie is aiming for the Junior team this year following Benji's win in Necarne last year.

Farrier
Guy Sheffield - the name is no coincidence, JP's farrier is his brother!

Dentist
Richard Hill

Physiotherapists
Chris Caden Parker and Sam Smith make regular visits to the yard.

Vet
John Coope of Chine House Veterinary Practice has worked with JP for over 10 years and is very experienced with competition horses and the challenges that they face in remaining at peak fitness and health.
